Elephant Sanctuary and Erawan Waterfall

Trip was very good. Early start meant that nothing was rushed and managed to fit everything in with plenty of time. Guide was very friendly and was happy to stay as long as I wanted at each thing, even got to feed the monkeys as an added extra on the way back. Definitely would recommend.

Happy Weekend in Kanchanaburi with a Local

★★★★★★★★★★

5.0

Panus our local guide picked us up at the hotel as arranged with excellent timing. He made us feel welcome from the start; English music was a lovely to hear as we drove along to our first stop Sai Yai Noi Waterfall. Panus, guided us in, after a while we felt comfortable to lead the way and Panus, was always there to answer questions or advice us. Next we went for a local lunch, 10 minutes from the waterfall, a lovely family run place. Panus, ensured we had plenty to eat, and catered for a fish allergy. The food was lovely, and atmosphere welcoming. Next stop was Saiyok Elephant Park. We made healthy Elephant snack balls, made from rice, banana, and dried fruit, and we cut up lots of watermelon. The Elephants sure loved their snacks. Next, Elephant washing, right in the river Kwai. Absolutely great fun, especially being sprayed with water by the elephant. After Elephant washing, we also had a forest shower. Our third stop was river Kwai rafting and swimming. Beautiful rafting set on the amazing river Kwai, simply pulled along the river and floating back down to our starting point. No time to be shy outside showers, but, we felt amazing. Walking the Death Railway, was a great feeling of history and thought provoking. Being able to actually walk the railway tracks over the river kwai was so special. Panus, understood us, and soon gauged our feelings; he left us to walk the railway bridge. Letting us enjoy the feelings and absorb the atmosphere. We asked to finish the trip on the river kwai at sunset. Panus, ensured all our trips requirements were met, and finishing just as the sun was setting was just stunning. Great local guide Panus, and a big thank you to Linda who helped to pre- plan the trip with record timing. Unforgettable day. Be sure to book with takemetour, who cannot do enough for you. :-)
