With the former royal palace (Wat Phra Si Sanphet) and temples like Wat Mahathat (the famous Buddha head in tree roots) and more, you'll love our insightful journey through Thailand's ancient capital!

Meet up at hotel lobby (in Bangkok area)

Let's start our tour of Ayutthaya Historical Park at Wat Phanan Choeng! Believe it or not, it was built in 1324 even before Ayutthaya was founded. Here, you can admire the gigantic gilded Buddha image. Then we'll move on to Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon. Built by King U-Thong (Ayutthaya's founder) in 1357, it's very photogenic with enormous pagodas and rows of Buddha images. Next, we'll go to Wat Mahathat where you'll see the world-famous Buddha head in tree roots and Khmer-style architecture. Cool, eh?

After grabbing our local lunch, we'll visit another ancient temple in the Historical Park, Wat Phra Si Sanphet. Wat Phra Si Sanphet was not only the royal temple, but it was also the royal palace reserved for only the Kings of Ayutthaya. Don't miss its three striking, iconic pagodas, and be sure to take some cool pictures back home! This is when you can walk around Ayutthaya Historical Park, and see more temples and ruins and immerse in the unique atmosphere.

After checking out all the ancient temples in Ayutthaya Historical Park, we'll start to head back to Bangkok. This is when you can rest by having a nap in the car!

We should be in Bangkok by now, and I'll drop you off at the meeting point safe and sound. This is when we say goodbye, and I wish you safe travels in Thailand! Hope you enjoyed the trip!
